No; Alpine supplies both smooth bore and grooved feed  extruders in sizes from 35mm to 120mm.

What materials do Alpine extruders run?
Virtually every conceivable film grade commercially available and even some that are not commercially available.

Are Alpine lines mostly sold for HD?
No, 90% of new lines are sold for custom LLDPE lines, both mono layer and co-extrusion up to nine layers; however Alpine does have nearly 60% of High Density market share in North America

Does Alpine supply co-extrusion lines?
Yes, in fact 70 % of all the lines we sell are co-extrusion lines from 3 layer to 9 layer film lines.

What is the Maximum Film Width an Alpine Extrusion line can produce?
Alpine Extrusion Systems can produce films up to 140" in width.

What is the minimum and maximum film thickness an Alpine extrusion line can produce?
Alpine Blown Film Systems have produced films ranging in thickness from 6 micron (0.25 mil) to 500 micron (20 mil).

Does Alpine produce cast film equipment?
No, Alpine continues to focus all of its research and development into the perfection of the blown film process.

Where is Alpine extrusion equipment manufactured?
Most of the blown film components are manufactured at our sister facility in Augsburg, Germany. Many of the components such as the motors, drives and controls are sourced here in North America.

Does Alpine have an operator training program?
Yes, Alpine has a comprehensive operator and maintenance training program. Training is available at your plant or at Alpine American's headquarters in Natick, MA.

Does Alpine provide service and support from the U.S.?
Alpine American provides all technical service from our facility in Natick, MA. Over 90% of spare parts orders are shipped from this facility.

Can Alpine completely install my new extrusion line?
Yes, Alpine offers installation support ranging from simple installation supervision to full 'turn key' installations. Contact your Alpine representative to discuss your specific installation needs.

Does Alpine supply used or reconditioned equipment?
We do not have a company dedicated to selling used equipment, however we have reconditioned numerous systems for customers to like-new condition. Additionally, we frequently sell extruders, dies, and air rings from our lab to satisfy customer needs.

Does Alpine have a facility to clean dies or refurbish my existing equipment?
Yes. Our facility in Natick, Massachusetts is equipped and staffed to clean dies, as well as refurbish and rebuild old equipment.

What other equipment does Alpine manufacture?
Alpine supplies a Machine Direction Orienter. This machine is designed to mechanically orient or stretch blown film in the machine direction to reduce gauge and improve mechanical properties in a variety of ways, including stiffness, clarity, barrier, etc.

Does Alpine have a Tolling facility?
Yes we do, both in Germany and here in the US at a facility in Ohio.
